Rec commissioner urges action on needs

CITY of North Vancouver councillors are still at loggerheads over how to renew the Harry Jerome recreation centre after a long-serving North Vancouver recreation commissioner came to urge them to get a move on.

Wayne Robertson has served seven years on the commission, including a term as chairman. On Monday night, he reminded council of the various studies he had seen during that time.

Pool costs concern NV district council

DISTRICT of North Vancouver councillors are worrying over financial constraints that could affect the William Griffin/ Delbrook Community recreation centre replacement project.

“This project will be limited by our financial parameters and our financial capacity,” said Coun. Robin Hicks, reminding attendees at the Sept. 12 council meeting of the current economic environment under which the centre will be built.
